Baseball's flurry of offseason activity has begun!
After a slow start to the offseason , business picked up as the 2017 Major League Baseball Winter Meetings converged in Orlando, Florida.
As the rest of the sport picks its collective jaw up off the ground after the Yankees pulled off a stunning trade for reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton , more trades, signings and surprise deals are coming together quickly.
Will the Yankees make a move for a big-time pitcher ? Is CC Sabathia a priority in the Bronx? Or could he be lost to a contender out west ? Could a veteran like, say, Brett Gardner , be moved to fix a corner outfield logjam ? Or will general manager Brian Cashman use more of the farm system to land an ace-like young arm?
Will the Mets trade Matt Harvey away one year before the former ace hits free agency? Which team makes more sense for the Mets to do business with: The Orioles or Rangers?
Are the Red Sox poised to make a big splash to match the Yankees in the form of, say, J.D. Martinez ?
Will the Phillies give their fans reason to believe in 2018? With rumors of Pat Neshek returning to Philadelphia, it sounds like this team is ready for business in Orlando.
So many questions, and every major baseball executive in one hotel to attempt to solve baseball's offseason rubix cube.
NJ Advance Media has reporters on the scene to bring you everything you need to know. Consider this a one-stop shop for baseball hot stove knowledge.
