UPDATE (1:25pm PT on Monday): The Browns have officially traded wide receiver Josh Gordon to the Patriots.
The Patriots are sending a 2019 fifth-round pick to Cleveland for Gordon, according to ESPN.
If Gordon is not active for 10 games this season, the Patriots will get a 2019 seventh-round pick in return from the Browns.
In order to make room for Gordon on the roster, the Patriots are cutting former Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman, who signed with New England last week.

It appears wide receiver Josh Gordon will not be coming to the Bay Area.
According to the NFL Network, the Browns are getting close to trading Gordon to the New England Patriots.
The 49ers made it known on Sunday that they had been in contact with the Browns about the services of Gordon. For his part, Gordon reportedly had the 49ers and Cowboys at the top of his desired destinations. He obviously won't get his wish, but going to the Patriots isn't a terrible thing.
A second-round pick by the Browns in 2012, Gordon started his career with two stellar seasons, highlighted by 1,646 receiving yards in 2013. But from 2015 through the start of the 2018 season, he's played in just six games due to substance-abuse suspensions.
