Once upon a time, the New York Giants baseball team permanently moved to San Francisco.
Now, the Giants football team would be wise to rent space for its top brass in Los Angeles.
The Giants reportedly held a private workout for UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen at his campus on Tuesday, taking advantage of a 2-for-1 opportunity while across the country for USC's Pro Day.
Am told the #Browns & the #Giants worked out QB Josh Rosen today at #UCLA.

USC quarterback Sam Darnold is expected to throw rain (forecast) or shine at Pro Day after limiting his NFL Combine experience to interviews, running and jumping.
All the other projected first-round quarterbacks -- Rosen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, Wyoming's Josh Allen and Louisville's Lamar Jackson -- threw in front of scouts at the Combine.
NFL teams can have up to 30 prospects visit their headquarters before the draft, but those stops are for getting acquainted with coaches and surroundings. It is prohibited for players to be put through a football workout.
The other scouting option for NFL teams is to design a private workout for a prospect at his college campus or a field near his home.
The Giants, who hold the No. 2 pick (and control of the trade market) in the NFL Draft, and the top-picking Browns both took an up-close look at Rosen on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Phil Simms: Giants trade No. 2 for 'ransom' if this 1 QB is available
All 32 NFL teams were represented at UCLA's Pro Day last week, and it likely will be the same story for USC. Both schools have a handful of draftable players beyond the two quarterbacks.
Giants coach Pat Shurmur and assistant general manager Kevin Abrams were spotted at Darnold's Pro Day.
But the Rosen-Darnold symmetry is a theme that likely will follow the arcs of their football careers.
They squared off in November when Rosen had the better numbers but USC won the game.
They could go No. 1 and No. 2 in the draft, like Jared Goff-Carson Wentz (2016), Jameis Winston-Marcus Mariota (2015) and Andrew Luck-Robert Griffin III (2012) in just the last six drafts.
Or they could share the New York/New Jersey spotlight if the Browns go with Saquon Barkley and leave the two passers to the Giants and Jets at No. 2 and No. 3.
USC's Pro Day will air live on NFL Network at noon EST, and the crew of Mike Mayock, Daniel Jeremiah, Curtis Conway and Rhett Lewis will be live on-site to analyze.
