These 5 cities could host NFL Draft in 2019, 2020 | Is New York or Philadelphia in the running?

Remember when the NFL Draft was a staple of the spring calendar at Radio City Music Hall?

Well, it isn't coming back anytime soon.

The NFL put the draft in New York in 1965 and held it there until 2015, when scheduling conflicts at Radio City Music Hall prompted the league to leave the Big Apple entirely and go to Chicago in back-to-back years.

Philadelphia hosted in 2017Dallas will host in April and now there are five franchises who are finalists after submitting bids for hosting the 2019 and 2020 drafts.

The NFL is considering Tennessee (the Titans play in Nashville), Denver, Kansas City, Las Vegas and Cleveland/Canton, according to multiple reports.

The Raiders are scheduled to move from Oakland to Las Vegas possibly as soon as 2019.

The NFL will announce a host city for both the 2019 and 2020 drafts at the league meetings in May.

In 2017, the draft was held outdoors for the first time. In 2018, it will be held inside a football stadium for the first time.

The NFL will mark its 100th season in 2019 and its centennial anniversary in 2020, which makes Cleveland/Canton an interesting choice. The league was established in Northeast Ohio in 1920 (Cleveland and Canton had two of the NFL's original 11 franchises) and Canton has been home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 1963.

Los Angeles was in the running for the 2015 NFL Draft at a time when it had no franchise. Since then, both the Chargers and Rams have moved into the city.
