Seton Hall-Providence game suspended due to unsafe conditions

Seton Hall will have to wait until Thursday to try to pick up a key road win.

The Pirates road game against Providence was suspended because of unsafe playing conditions at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

The game will be continued on Thursday at noon at Alumni Hall.

Seton Hall (18-9, 7-7 Big East) will have a 56-47 lead with 13:03 remaining. Seton Hall’s Desi Rodriguez was injured after slipping and hurting his ankle in front of the Friars bench. He did not return, according to the Providence Journal.

Two other Pirates also slipped and fell in the second half, and that was apparently enough for Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard. The three officials agreed with him and the game was suspended because of the unsafe conditions.

Myles Powell leads Seton Hall with 16 points. Khadeen Carrington and Angel Delgado each have 11 points. Alpha Diallo and Kyron Cartwright each have 10 points for the Friars (17-10, 8-6).
