The Beard is back.
Houston Rockets star James Harden, who has been sidelined since Jan. 1 with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, will return to the court Thursday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He will be limited to around 25 minutes, coach Mike D'Antoni said.
The Rockets have gone 4-3 in Harden's absence, but are just 5-8 since Dec. 20. They sit in second place in the Western Conference, five games behind Golden State and two games ahead of San Antonio.
The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are three games behind Houston.
Harden, the NBA's MVP frontrunner before going down, is averaging a league-leading 32.3 points per game this season, as well as 9.1 assists, five rebounds and 1.8 steals.
The Rockets are 15-0 this season when the trio of Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela play.
The Rockets host Golden State on Saturday.
