The hits at Georgia Tech might be harder off the field than they are on the gridiron.
Georgia Tech defensive backs Step Durham and Lance Austin got into a fight earlier this year and TMZ obtained video of Durham knocking out Austin in the team’s training center.
In the video, a shirtless Austin is shown walking towards Durham when he gets hit with a quick punch by his teammate. Austin falls to the ground after taking a fist to the chin and collapses onto a chair.
Other people in the room tell Durham to pick his teammate up off the ground. The video wraps up with Durham grabbing Austin by the arms and trying to help him back up.
Durham and Austin are both seniors for the Yellow Jackets.
The University told TMZ they were aware of the fight between the two players.
"Georgia Tech's football coaching staff became aware of the incident between teammates and friends shortly after it occurred. Discipline was handled internally," the school said.
Sources told TMZ neither player missed any playing time during the 2017 season because of the brawl.
Both players are reportedly civil with one another and there isn't any bad blood between the two.
The Yellow Jackets had a season they'd probably like to forget in 2017.
Their regular season came to end with a record of 5-6 and they were blown out in their rivalry game against the Georgia Bulldogs 38-7.
