At this point, it seems to be a matter of when, not if, the Giants will be firing head coach Ben McAdoo -- a decision that is the painfully obvious one after their latest embarrassing loss, this time at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.
From the outside looking in, all the way from Eagles' land where this reporter currently resides, it is clear the Giants need a major change. They need a new head coach, and they need that new head coach to groom their quarterback of the future -- and to begin the process of moving on from Eli Manning.
It is up to the Giants to find that new head coach, but when they do begin that search, here is some free advice -- start and end the search with Eagles quarterback John DeFilippo.
Here is why DeFilippo would be the perfect selection for the Giants to move on from the disastrous McAdoo era:

EAGLES KNEW THE BLUEPRINT NEEDED
To start, the Giants should learn from the maneuvers the Eagles made less than two years ago.
In 2015, when the Eagles decided to fire head coach Chip Kelly with one game to play in the season, they did so knowing they were in desperate need of a change, and that change needed to start in the quarterback room, from top to bottom.
