Tiger Tracker: Follow along as Tiger Woods looks to make the cut Friday at the PGA Championship

Tiger Woods is back on the course Friday for the second round of the 100th PGA Championship, golf's final major of the season.

98 of the top 100 players in the world are at Bellerive Country Club this week, making this week's tournament one of the most competitive events of the season. Patrick Reed (Masters), Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open) and Francisco Molinari (Open Championship) are all eyeing their second major titles of the year, while Jordan Spieth looks to finally complete his career grand slam.

After shooting even par Thursday, Woods tees off at 2:48 p.m. ET alongside defending champion Justin Thomas and two-time champion Rory McIlroy. Follow Woods' second round shot-by-shot.

Thoughts at the turn

Here. We. Go. For how bad his start was on Thursday, that's how good he was on Friday. And then the rains came. You'd think that might throw someone off, but not Tiger. He came out dialed in Saturday morning with his first two shots, carding an early birdie to continue and climb the leaderboard. Having to play 28 holes today will be a good test of his health and game, but if he can keep it rolling, we could see Tiger near the top of the leaderboard again at a major.

Hole 9 - Par 4

Iron off the tee on No. 9 and this is perfect down the right side of the fairway. His approach finds the green safely on the front half, but he's almost 50-feet from the cup. He gave this one a wack and it gets close, but doesn't have enough juice. That'll be par. 4-under thru 9 (4-under for the tournament).

Hole 8 - Par 5

We're back! Tiger's drive found the fairway and he went on to lay up from there. His first shot early Saturday is just about perfect. He lands this one just below the green and runs it 6 feet past the hole. He drops the putt and despite the 16-hour delay, Tiger stays hot. 4-under thru 8 (4-under for the tournament).

Play suspended

They're done for the day at Bellerive. Play will continue at 8:00 a.m. ET tomorrow morning, with the third round beginning later in the morning/early afternoon.

Hole 8 - Par 5

Driver on No. 8 and this one was hugging left side of the fairway the entire way, but winds up in the rough just off the fairway. He has to lay up from here and plays it to the fairway.

Hole 7 - Par 4

Iron here for Tiger and this one goes down the right side of the fairway, takes a massive bounce and rolls right into the center of a fairway bunker. His approach comes up just short of the green, and his chip from there bounces in and out of the cup! Golf is a cruel game. Par. 3-under thru 7 (3-under for the tournament).

Hole 6 - Par 3

His worst shot so far today as this one finds the green-side bunker on the par 3. Tiger flops this one out of the bunker, landing it on the fringe and just trickling onto the green. He's got a lengthy par putt left. No matter. Tiger dropped this like it was a tap-in. Par. 3-under thru 6 (3-under for the tournament).

Leaderboard update: Gary Woodland set the 36 hole PGA Championship record at 10-under par and holds the lead. Kevin Kisner shot a 64 to move to 9-under, followed by Brooks Koepka at 8-under after his Friday 63.

Hole 5 - Par 4

BOOM. Tiger bombs this drive down the right side of the fairway. He's out there. Way, way out there. This group is First Team All-Fun. Justin Thomas didn't hit the fairway but he smoked his driver as well. Rory McIlroy followed suit. Tiger's approach sets up yet another birdie chance, coming to rest about 10 feet from the hole. "I'll have another!" says TW, dropping the putt for his third birdie in four holes. 3-under thru 5 (3-under for the tournament).

Elsewhere on the course: Tony Finau is having himself a day. His round, so far: Birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, TRIPLE BOGEY, birdie, birdie. You can't make this up.

Hole 4 - Par 4

Tiger pulls driver here for the first time today and much like yesterday, it misses to the right. His approach is aggressive and finds the green on the front edge but slips back onto the fringe. Wedge here for his third shot and he just burns the edge. He was getting ready to fist-pump but instead taps in for par. 2-under thru 4 (2-under for the tournament).

Hole 3 - Par 3

Tiger's tee shot on the short 132-yard third hole nestles just feet from the pin. He drains the putt and marches to the fourth tee with his second consecutive birdie to get him to 2-under thru 3 (2-under for the tournament).

Hole 2 - Par 4

Another iron on No. 2 for TW and this is beautiful down the middle of the fairway. Tiger stuck his approach within 10 feet of the cup and sets up a solid birdie chance. He didn't have a lot of opportunities early yesterday, and he looks a lot more confident with his stroke today. Chirp-chirp-chirp! He buries the birdie putt and drops to 1-under thru 2 (1-under for the tournament).

Hole 1 - Par 4

Driving iron off the tee and this one flirts with some bunkers down the left side, but he's fine and in the fairway. Not a great effort on the approach, about 30 feet right of the pin. Nothing much to say about this. Two-putt par. Even thru 1 (Even for the tournament).
