Indy 500: Results, highlights from Will Power's win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Australian racer Will Power turned his long-awaited dream into reality and took home the checkered flag at the Indy 500 on Sunday.

The 37-year-old spent a good portion of the race in and out of top five during an unforgiving day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with heartwarming stories, and past winners falling victim to the track.

Among those who crashed out of the race was Danica Patrick, who has said this was to be her final ride through the Indy 500. Unfortunately, her final race was cut short on Lap 68 when she crashed into the wall and had to end her racing career in unceremonious fashion. Regardless of how this race finished, however, she will still be remembered for her illustrious career.
