Lap 10: Top 5 starters holder their positions: Carpenter, Pagenaud, Power, Newgarden. Bourdais.
Lap 8: Danica Patrick has fallen from 7th to 12th; Alexander Rossi has moved up to 26th from 32nd.
Tony Kanaan moves from 10th to 6th in the opening 2 laps.
Lap 1: Ed Carpenter leads. Simon Pagenaud and Will Power are battling for 2nd.

Sebastien Bourdais is starting fifth after missing last year's race because of a qualifying crash.
Scott Dixon, the 2008 race champ who is starting ninth: "We're confident. It's never easy here."
Tony Kanaan, the 2013 race champ who is starting 10th: "Consistency and mistake-free. You cannot afford to have one single hiccup."
Takuma Sato, the defending race champ who is starting 16th, says his first hot laps this month made him emotional, but he got down to business.
Alexander Rossi, the 2016 race winner who is starting 32nd: "Obviously we're dissapointed, but it doesn't change (our approach).
Danica Patrick, starting seventh: "I couldn't think of a better place to end my career. ... The work left to do is to stay clam, stay positive." She recalled the first advice she received 2005 from Al Unser Jr.: "It's a long race and don't ever believe it's over."
Spencer Pigot, who starts sixth: "We're all super comfortable with the cars we've had (in Ed Carpenter Racing)." That team has starters No. 1 (Ed Carpenter), 6 and 7 (Danica Patrick).
Helio Castroneves, three-time race champ, who starts eighth: "It's always a different thing." He isn't an IndyCar regular this season.
Josef Newgarden, IndyCar points leader and defending season champ, who starts fourth: "You'll know what type of race car you have 100 laps in."
Will Power, who starts third: "You can never say when it's your year, but all you can do is do your homework. ... We've put ourselves in a good position."
Simon Pagenaud, who starts second: "I'm not intimated (by the Speedway) anymore. I can master this place. I can."
Pole sitter Ed Carpenter: "Usually the winner of the race deals with adversity at least once if not more. ... You need to minimize your mistakes."
Actor Chris Hemsworth is waving the green flag. Here's the key piece of advice he received: "Don't drop it."
James Hinchcliffe, who didn't qualify for the race, says he's helping teammates Robert Wickens and Jay Howard: "It's weird being at a racetrack and not getting ready to race."
Pole sitter Ed Carpenter expects early challenges for the lead: "Everybody will be working to get to the front."
